| Cecilia "Ci Ci" Foster was born on October 4th in Chicago, Illinois. Her father, John Westley Jr. worked as a custodian and performed odd jobs to provide for his family. Ci Ci's mother, Mary Westley was employed as a medical assistant at a family practice medical center. Ci Ci is the middle child of an extended family. At a early age, both John and Mary Westley instilled the importance of education in their children. Ci Ci first took an interest in modeling at the age of 17 when she competed in the Chicago talent showcase, A Star is Born. Although Ci Ci did not place, she didn't let that stop her. She began modeling for local photographers on a trade for photo basis. From 1995 to 2000, Ci Ci attended Chicago State University. She graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology. Ci Ci took a minor in theater to gain valuable stage experience. She graced the stage in numerous Chicago State University productions including, Deadwood Dick, Old School Memories, and a off Broadway production of RapSoDee (which the role was written for her). It was during the Q&A session of RapSoDee that Ci Ci decided to pursue acting as a career. After college, Ci Ci studied her craft for two years at Act One Studio. A few years later, her training and raw talent paid off when she caught the eye of a top talent agent. Through her newly acquired agent, Ci Ci quickly gained numerous commercial credits including Meijers, Walgreens, Woodfield Mall, and American Furniture. Ci Ci is no stranger to film as she starred in several independent productions including Wages of Sin, This is the remix, The Piano Lesson, and Y2k Home is where the heart is, to name a few. In 2004, Ci Ci began writing as a hobby. She completed her debut novel Sunny Rain in 2007. Later that year, Ci Ci relocated to Los Angeles. Tired of the lack of strong female leading roles, Ci Ci formed her own production company, Flower Goddess Productions. Ci Ci believes you can have it all if you're willing to work for it. |
